New & New

Happy #faithfilledfriday 🤍

Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.  —Matthew‬ ‭9:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In all of our preparation, we must be privy of the season and the proper duties of our calling during such times. We cannot afford to run ahead in our thoughts or actions and also cannot afford to lag behind and drag our feet—we must be steadfast, gaining strength and wisdom from God, where He has us.

As much as circumstances seem to be tests of God’s faithfulness and “WILL OR WHEN WILL HE COME THROUGH?!”, the reality is that our faithfulness is being tested with the question—“DO I TRUST GOD TO TAKE CARE OF ME?!”

When the answer is YES, you live and believe different than if the answer is MOST TIMES OR SOMETIMES. And the answer is reflected not in our emotional reaction (because we are human and when things are hard, we have human reactions such as questioning or crying, but in our response to all these things (Romans 8:31).

Make prayer a priority.

Listen for God’s response.

Find strength by joying in the journey.

Take on enough for the day and its duties.
