Due Season

And let us not be weary in well-doing for in DUE SEASON we shall reap if we faint not

Gal 6:9

Due Season: At the appropriate time

Due season does not come by coincidence, though it is or can be like a vision that tarries; though it delays we MUST wait on it. Have you ever gone ahead of God without provision or permission? I know I have and it has NEVER ended in a way that was best or even how I planned it. Due season requires one of faith to persist diligently even when the harvest is few or nonexistent. Due season involves the continuance of sowing good seeds into good ground regardless of what sprouts or does not sprout. One of my best friends made a post about something she had planted 5 years ago that she is just now seeing on the surface. I’ve learned that some of the things I’ve planted do not manifest in tangible ways; many of the things that needed to mature were internal/spiritual.

So many times we get impatient and give up on God’s plan, dream or vision He has shown us because it hasn’t manifested how or when we thought it would. We grow TIRED of doing good day in and day out not to see an immediate change or impact. We convince ourselves that it is better to live our own way by our own rules than continue down a path of uncertainty, frustration, and discouragement. But the latter half of Galatians 6:9 is vital. It lets us know we will come to many forks in the road that will tell us to abandon truth and faith. But no matter the length or the severity, we must PERSIST in doing what we are called and purposed to do, the good works and deeds in love.

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us about times and seasons for all purposes under heaven. Lord, help us to keep seeking You for wisdom, guidance, truth, clarity, encouragement, joy, love and anything else we are in need of. At the appropriate time, you will make things known to us. Help us to walk in patience and faith as we carry out the works you have for us. Amen.
