“Exuberant Faith”

Happy #faithfilledfriday ❤️

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

‭‭—Psalm‬ ‭27:13‬ ‭KJV‬

Hope is the component of faith that keeps us excited. It keeps us motivated and enthused because of a realization of a promise. It asks us to believe before any delivery and trust beyond all doubt. It asks us to see God as bigger than a circumstance and giants as temporary agitations or afflictions. It asks us to acknowledge the goodness of God in the world as we are surrounded and experience the chaos and evil of the world.

As this season of my life continues to unfold, these are “hope questions” that have allowed me to dig deeper as I search the word and seek God through prayer, writing, and fellowship. Preparation [of my heart, mind, & spirit] is wisdom in action. Though my insight is finite, resurfacing my foundation gives my spiritual eyes confidence that outweighs tangible threats or stressors. This confidence has anchored my hope beyond the fruition of my plans. I must trust (and you too) the answers given and found(revealed). Even the ones I am [still] waiting on, I cannot allow to sway this hope or affect how I tend to my “garden”—the harvest, and ALL is decided and dependent upon by God.

  • God, what do you desire from me in this season?

  • What is necessary in this season? What must be pruned or pardoned?

  • What should I pursue in this season?

As hope continues to light fires or be small flames, I pray that the fanning of our faith brings peace as we trust God’s plans. And that our belief in God as our sustenance and safety is not soured by the things suffered. Secure your hope in God’s goodness and grace as you journey the road less traveled. May you find joy and jubilation in your pursuit and purpose.

God’s Peace, love, & joy

Jess
