Reset: Reiterating Relationship

Happy #faithfilledfriday ✝️

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually. — 1 Chronicles 16:11

Lately, God has been urging me to seek the answers to my questions in Him. It’s easy to ask those we consider wise, those we consider Shepherds, and those we consider confidants for their input, their knowledge, and their listening ears, but true peace of mind comes from dwelling with and reassurance from God.

With the hustle and bustle of life, situations and circumstances can take priority and time spent with God becomes more surface level instead of addressing the root of our heart’s issue(s). Sometimes I realize that I am depriving myself of peace simply because I’m not in right relationship with God. And being out of right relationship is humbling—admitting your imperfections, that you’ve wrongly prioritized things in your life, that you’re struggling with a vice or vision, or the seriousness of your storm—BUT I AM SO GLAD, that God is an ever present Help, more than capable of provision and protection, direction and deliverance, and forgiveness and faithfulness.

Today’s #faithfilledfriday is about keeping a channel of communication open with God by connecting with Him in ways that feed your being, with truth that tames your fears, through His word that guides your conscience, and knowing a love that affirms your identity. It’s not always some grand thing we have to do, sometimes the biggest part is SHOWING UP just as we are. Connection and communication help relationships to thrive—and God is reiterating the importance of all relationships in my life, but ESPECIALLY the one with Him. God is all-knowing and available, but it is I/We who need to create moments to dial in and listen to what’s being communicated on the other end.

God’s peace, blessings, and joy!
