Now Faith

#faithfilledfriday

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.—Hebrews 11:1

I didn’t know when this day would come, but I had hoped that eventually it would. And that everything God purposed for me to do in this life, would mirror in most ways, as He wills. Faith involves trusting, believing, and continuing—even when what we hope and desire has not [yet] manifested. Our faith shouldn’t depend on a specific outcome, but instead be entrusted to God who never fails. That is why hope can be without despair, because God is always able, though He may not act or will something in a way I think “best”.

•Now FAITH.

I’ve hoped for things and even in people, the outcomes have ranged from disappointment to more than I could ask or think.

•Now FAITH.

I’ve experienced the miracles of God’s blessings and grace and the unbelievable losses of forevers, family, and inspirations.

•Now FAITH.

I’ve seen God show up on time, in time, and even early, and I’ve experienced the journey of endurance—living and navigating through the worst of trials and tribulations.

•Now FAITH.

Has shown me that I don’t have to know everything or even understand everything, but I have to hold onto God’s unwavering word, truth, and love. Whether God does or does not, I must still walk with Him, rest in Him, and put my faith in Him; because I’ve learned that my choice to follow, seek, and submit is not about what God can do for me, but glorifying a Love that truly saved me to do works purposed before I was born.

I hope the faith that you and I proclaim speaks of the greatness of God, of the power of God, and the evidence of His existence. I hope that the faith we profess, exalts God, tells the truth of our dependence on Him, and shows those who see our light that imperfect vessels are given gifts—one being faith—and how it blesses us and glorifies God. And I hope that whatever season you are in, that your faith, even if it’s as a mustard seed, is cultivated and nurtured by the word of God and the truth of His love and purpose planned for you before the ages.
